Where you work

You will work at least 50 to 60% where you want to work.

However, some of your work will also take place in the computer lab and at the customer's premises. You can work in our laboratories either at the MPI in Munich, at the Fraunhofer in Stuttgart or Darmstadt or in our own laboratories in the canton of Zurich.

 

Remuneration

Remuneration will be based on your qualifications. It is expected to be between 170 and 220k CHF/anno.

We are looking for you as a process specialist with expertise in cyber security. Methodically develop our Intelligent Networks product area. Develop new processes to enrich data between security systems. Analyze the data potential with regard to the knowledge expansion of our network-based security AI. Together with our data scientists, optimize the processes across all training phases, especially for the pre-training phase. Analyze the data of attack scenarios together with our data scientists; define processes to standardize the transmission and automated parsing of data from partners, e.g. telecommunication companies and cloud operators Develop processes to automatically improve the security AI of our open source cloud.

 

Who is HighPots?

HighPots is all about software. Together with over 150 scientific and engineering colleagues, HighPots develops complex software for various industries along the entire value chain. We run software in our own open source cloud for corporate customers and ourselves, and we have our own products in the areas of cyber security and ML on the market. We also use software to support one-off solutions as part of R&D projects.

HighPots also orchestrates an R&D cluster for companies in the DACH region. This is made up of over 50 large and medium-sized companies as well as institutes and universities. In this research cluster, more than 330 people are now working on mostly open source solutions in the areas of cyber security, Industry 4.0 IoT topics and automated process vulnerability identification.

At HighPots, machine learning and artificial intelligence are tools that are used in the development of software and hardware. We use highly specialized AIs. In specialized areas, these are far superior to the generative AIs known from the media, such as ChatGPT. Areas of responsibility - what you do with us

  • Identify and define processes
  • Develop ways to produce, measure and validate data within processes; the use and process-related further development of the ML components developed by HighPots for this purpose is part of your everyday life.
  • Qualifying the results of the process ML components and ensuring reproducible quality.
  • Participate in the further development of our expert system (Bayes network) by docking the ML components you have further developed in terms of processes; you will be responsible for the transfer of knowledge to the software engineers.
  • Supporting the scientific team in the further development of the recommendation system with validated results from the Bayesian network.
  • Automated real-time improvement of the recommendation system through our Deep Reinforcement Learning model; for this you also use data from external partners (e.g. telecommunications companies) as training data, which is analyzed by our Software Engineers accordingly.
  • Implementation of our cyber security recommendation system in our customer Open Source-Cloud.
  • Process-related further development of the connection to AWS, Google Cloud and Azure.
  • Use of our self-hosted LLaMA model to document and retrospectively validate our recommendation system and to prepare for internal and external audits by the BSI.
  • Support our team responsible for security certification (ITSEC & CC).

 

Qualifications - what you bring with you

  • At least 10 years of experience as a data scientist
  • Deep knowledge of Bayesian statistics
  • Profound knowledge in the area of expert systems and their transition to recommendation or assistance systems
  • Many years of experience in technical process management
  • Knowledge of Latex
  • Experience in agile environments at the organizational level (SAFe)
  • Knowledge of the functionality of transformer models
  • Affinity for the topics of cyber security, data protection and ISMS

We are looking for you as a Senior Requirements Engineer Inhouse with experience in the food manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. You will capture and improve complex requirements within production planning management and document them. You identify requirements and processes, improve, define and document them. You provide your documentation, e.g. user stories, use cases, workflow diagrams, epics, sequence or class diagrams to the technical team, explain and discuss them. Your contacts are, for example, software architects, product owners, business analysts or software developers. Your work takes place within an agile SAFe organization, but you are not part of the Scrum development team.

Qualifications - what you bring with you

  • Many years of experience in the production of either pharmaceuticals or food; at least 2 years of experience in the other industry
  • Requirements engineering certification, e.g. RE Advanced Level or better Expert Level

  • General certification and many years of professional experience in BPM in general
  • Knowledge in the validation or auditing of processes & procedures

HighPots operates an application-oriented research cluster for companies in the DACH region consisting of more than 50 medium-sized companies, each with a turnover of between EUR 20 and 800 million/anno, as well as institutes and universities. More than 300 people work in this research cluster, 22 of whom are HighPots colleagues.

As part of a solar research project, we are researching a sustainable, economical, safe and socially just energy supply system. For energy storage, we are looking for a team leader for the "Battery Cell Technology" team as soon as possible. The aim is to further develop the subject area and take account of the constant growth in this field of work.

 

What you do with us

  • As a team leader, you will lead the "Battery Cell Technology" group, which currently has around 13 employees, as part of a management team.
  • You will primarily be responsible for the group's scientific project work, organize work and resource planning with the project managers and also manage projects as required.
  • You will be involved in the strategic orientation of the group in the research market, develop new project ideas as part of the team and coordinate the planning, preparation and submission of new project proposals in which you will play a key role. Within the group itself, you will competently manage and develop personnel and provide support in the organization of work.
  • You will present your work competently at conferences, in committees, to project partners and clients in the international arena and in the form of scientific publications.
  • You will be involved in the preparation of scientific publications and present the results in specialist articles and at conferences.

 

What you bring with you

  • You have a university degree (Master's) in chemistry or comparable and preferably a doctorate in the field of battery cell or battery materials research. You have already gained experience in research on battery cells and/or materials for battery cells by working on projects. In particular, knowledge of alternative battery chemistries for e.g. zinc and sodium-ion battery cells is important for the future direction of the group.
  • You have a strong background in chemistry and/or process engineering for the production and evaluation of battery materials and process technologies for battery cells
  • You have experience in microstructure studies of battery materials and/or experience in electrochemical characterization of battery cells.
  • You have experience in technical research (also in the context of a doctorate) and have already been involved in R&D projects. You do not lose sight of the achievement of goals and act in a solution-oriented manner.
  • You enjoy guiding colleagues, you communicate transparently and emphatically and can motivate people to work independently and in a structured manner.
  • You find it easy to work on several tasks at the same time and maintain an overview even under time pressure.
  • You have already demonstrated your excellent German and English skills.
